There are some places were hiking takes on a particular dimension. Serre Ponçon ​is a huge lake , an internal sea visible from the walkers everywhere. Here everything is possible ! But the best about hiking is not talking about it , but living it ! So put on your hiking shoes and discover our magnificient territory!

​To make sure you enjoy your stay and discover the most, mountain professionals are available for you, to make you discover the local flora and wildlife, and introduce you to the basis of hiking.
On the trails of Serre-Ponçon...

​For Families : "Le parcours des curiosités" (curiosities route) at the Les Orres station : this trail accessible from the summit of the Pousterle lift lift will bring you until the summit of the crests. An easy way to learn the secrets of the mountain.Thanks to a signage under the form of a quizz , children and parents will discover the flora, wildlife and the specifities of the station. And juste before the walk, come try our natural snowsledge tracks !!! (sledges available for free).
In the village of Les Orres, discover the interpretation trail "Lou Pastre" : two circuits from 4 and 16km long completed by 9 thematic information boards who will allow you to discover step to step the history and environment of the municipality.
A Family walk, " Le sentier des Demoiselles Coiffées "

​Between Savines-le-Lac and Le Sauze-du-lac, on the fringe of the Departementale 954, take the trail of Les Demoiselles Coiffées. An easy trail of a hundred meters, marked with information boards to better understand this geological phenomenon born from the erosion of the glacial deposits... breathtaking !
An oustanding view 
​On the municipality of Chorges : the "col de la Gardette" located at 2152m of altitude. This trail offers to hikers a unique view on the Serre-Ponçon lake, the municipality of Chorges and the valley of " l'Avance". An easy and accessible trail that guarantee a great moment. (time of walk 3 hours all in all) 

​A walk under the shadows of the trees
​On the municipalility on Savines-le-Lac : the " Belvédère de Pierre Arnoux". This trail start from the crossing of a beautiful forest, the Morgon forest, and ends up with a splendid view on the Serre-Ponçon lake. Enjoy the botanic and forestry trail of Pierre Arnoux and the magnificient view waiting for you at our arrival.

​A forestry landscape
​If you want to discover the many secrets hidden in the Serre Ponçon forests, let the trails of those forests guide you to their heart.Enter the millenium forest of Boscodon and you will enter one of the most beautiful fir forests of the Southern Alps and the less polluted territory of France accorded to the ONF ( Office national des fôrets / National Office for forests).
​The Morgon forest will introduce you to ecology thanks to its forestry and botanic trails of Pierre Arnoux.Enjoy also the panorama in the Mont Guillaume forest. 
​The Saluces forest will guide you to the Florins Chapel recently restored.
​The municipality of Chorges is the start of many trails inside the Forest of "Le Sapet ".

La cabane de Chargès (hut) :

​Route for experimented walkers in the heart of the national Parc les Ecrins. It is possible to observe the chamois in the summer thanks to a scope and a Park ranger. A trail that will make you discover the Chapel and the hut of the Antoni fiels. A perfect hike for discoveries.

Le Mont guillaume :

Through forests , pastures and colored lawns , discover this place of pilgrimage by enjoying the panorama on the mountain in the Valley of Durance and Ubaye

​Le pic de Morgon : 
​Go through the forest of Boscodon until the enter of Morgon where you can see the Cirque of Morgon. From its pike you will admire the Serre-Ponçon lake , the Durance valley and the mountainous massifs around. 
​PS : Dogs are not allowed on the Morgon pasture at those periods : from 15th June to 15th July and from 15th August to 15th September.
